House damaged by fire

A house at 270 High St. in Emmons was damaged by fire this morning.
No one was injured.
According to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, dispatchers received a call of the fire after 5 a.m. today. The blaze was extinguished by about 7 a.m.
Investigators with the Freeborn County Fire Investigation Team are on the scene.
Freeborn County detective Scott Golbuff estimated the house was a total loss.

Man cited or DWI
Police cited Garrit Dean Wood, 19, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and underage drinking after a traffic stop at 11:53 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of West College Street and South Washington Avenue, reports stated.
