Kristine Volz, student of Sharon Astrup-Scott of Albert Lea, held a senior music recital at Trinity Lutheran Church of Blue Earth on May 20. The performance included four viola solos and seven vocal solos. Highlights were “Elegie” by Alexandre Glazounow and “Adelaide” by Beethoven on the viola as well as vocal selections of “Tout Est Si Beau” by Rachmaninoff and “Sunshine Again” by George MacDonald. More than 80 people were in attendance. Refreshments were served following the performance.

Volz will be studying music and chemistry at Augsburg College in the fall and plans to participate in both choir and orchestra.
