Zelma Crawford, 85, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Zelma Margaret Crawford, 85, of Albert Lea, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Assemblies of God Church. The Rev. Zelma died Monday, June 25, 2012, at her home.

Crawford

Zelma Margaret Crawford was born on April 26, 1927, in Albert Lea, the daughter of William and Gladys (Bailey) Crawford. She grew up in the Oakland area and went to school in Hollandale. Zelma then went on to nursing school in Minneapolis where she worked as an LPN. Zelma and her twin sister Thelma moved to California and lived there for about 20 years. They returned to Albert Lea in 1992. Zelma attended the Assemblies of God Church. Her interests included doing puzzles and games. Zelma particularly enjoyed spending holidays with her family.

Survivors include her siblings: Miriam Younker, Pauline Vaale, Doris Avery, Thelma Remick, Russell Crawford, Jr. and Mel Chandler; and many nieces and nephews.

Zelma was preceded in death by her parents; a brother in infancy; and all of her aunts and uncles.
