Enderes’ tools meant quality

I just ran an Internet search on “Enderes Tools” and saw your recent article in regards to their financial problems and felt compelled to comment.
My e-search was in hopes of finding information on a hacksaw manufactured by Enderes that belonged to my grandfather, who I believe purchased it between 1910 and 1915.
After three generations of hard use by Grandpa, Dad and me, I am now handing the saw down to my grandson. This tool is head and shoulders above anything available today, and I expect it to serve well for several more generations, a tool made by craftsmen who took pride in their work.
I relate this story to illustrate how sad it is to see a fine old Amercian manufacturer of quality tools facing its end due to cheap, foreign competition. Wake up, America, you get what you pay for! Good luck, Enderes.
