Possible fight reported

About 15 juveniles were reportedly yelling and punching each other, but no weapons were seen around 3:15 a.m. Friday near 819 Jefferson Ave. in Albert Lea. According to police reports the subjects ran when an officer responded.

About $1,800 worth of items was reported stolen from a storage unit on Hi Tech Avenue at 8:55 a.m. Thursday, according to the Albert Lea Police Department.

 

Computer stolen

An Apple iPad was reported stolen from a person visiting the Albert Lea Public Library at 2:55 p.m. Thursday, according to police.

 

House reportedly burglarized

Cash was reported missing from 202 W. Richway Drive around 10:30 p.m. Thursday. The reporting party said the home had been broken into sometime earlier in the day, according to police.

 

Counterfeit check reported

Nelson’s Market Place reported a counterfeit check of more than $500 at 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

 

Sirens sound false alarm

A resetting of siren switches caused a false alarm in the Brookside Education Center’s neighborhood.

Sirens near Brookside and the Shoreland Heights neighborhood sounded Friday morning, but residents in the area need not worry, authorities say. It was just an error and the cause is being researched.
