2 arrested for disorderly conduct

Two men were arrested for disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process after police received a report of a fight involving a person with a knife at 9:32 p.m. Tuesday at 133 W. William St. According to police, a window was broken out.
Officers found one van believed to be involved with the incident at the intersection of Euclid Avenue and William Street.
Police stated two men, identified as William Velazquez, 24, and Jose Enrique Velazquez, 36, both of Albert Lea, reportedly jumped out of the van and began yelling and appeared to want to fight with the officer. Both were subdued with a Taser and arrested.
Fire reported
A compost pile fire was reported out of control at 78438 125th St., Glenville, at 5:09 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before it reached a nearby cornfield.
Suspicious man reported
An employee at The Children’s Center, 605 James Ave., reported a man looking in one of the windows of the facility and trying to open one of the doors on Tuesday morning. The employees at the child care center were advised to call immediately if this happened again.
