Automobiles don’t kill people

Regarding David Larson’s recent bemoaning of our Second Amendment, I have two questions. First, if you are going to blame the gun for violent crime, don’t you also have to blame the automobile for drunken driving ? Secondly, does the choice of weapon make some killing more tolerable than others?
Thirty thousand yearly “gun deaths” sounds appalling and yet it’s hardly worth mentioning in light of the 1.5 million unborn being diced up with surgical tools. Perhaps some of these “rights” need to be subordinated for the common good.
