An 11-year-old boy received minor injuries Monday after he reportedly collided with a vehicle on Minnesota Highway 13 south of New Richland while on his bicycle.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Warren J. Webb, 66, of State Center, Iowa, was driving a 2004 Dodge Dakota on the highway at 1:46 p.m. when he collided with the child, Dustin G. Smitty, unknown city, who was attempting to cross the highway.

The report does not state whether Smitty was transported to a local hospital.

Webb and his passenger, Leila M. Webb, 58, of State Center, Iowa, were not injured.

The Waseca County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
