Chamber to Host Energy Efficiency Workshop

The Albert Lea – Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce Green Committee will be hosting a workshop entitled “Greening Your Business and Home from Top to Bottom” on Sept. 6 at Freeborn Mower Cooperative Services, 2501 E. Main St., Albert Lea. The program is open to all residents and businesses.
Presenters will include many local providers including plumbers, electricians, roofers and others that offer energy saving efficiencies. There will also be a firsthand account of converting one’s home to solar power from a Freeborn County resident. Additionally, cost savings programs and grants will be shared by representatives of Alliant Energy, Freeborn Mower Cooperative Services and the U. S. Department of Agriculture.
The program begins with at 7:45 a.m. with a continental breakfast and concludes with lunch at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $20 per person and reservations are required.
