I’ve had enough of Rich Murray, even though he has a reputation of a nice guy with cute grandkids.

I cannot stand the way he votes. Looking at his voting record, I see three very troubling votes. One troubling vote is his cuts to education funding. Making the schools “loan” money to the government is backward! The second troubling vote is how his caucus would not compromise on a budget, so they voted to shut down the government for a month! People could not use the parks, do business with the government, and it cost big bucks to shut down. The third troubling vote was for cuts to local government aid, or LGA, and to the homestead credit.

Now rural areas are hurting in their ability to hire police and firefighters. Shannon Savick is the candidate who has experience in running a local city, Wells. After two years of $450,000 cuts to their LGA, she was able to find areas of waste and keep the local police and firefighters. Educated in physics and math with a master’s degree in business, she stands up for what she believes is ethical and compromises to move government forward.
