The second annual Stuff the Bus promotion hosted by POWER 96 & KQAQ was a success. With the public's help they were able to Stuff the Bus with school supplies and also received $140 in donations. Organizers would like to thank the following sponsors: Trades & Labor Federal Credit Union, Ranch & Pet Supply, Ultimate Automotive & Tire, Northbridge Mall, and Albert Lea Bus Co. All supplies are kept local and distributed through the Salvation Army and Freeborn County United Way. Also a special thanks to Officer Jesus Cantu for joining us to discuss school bus safety as children head into the new school year. Included in the photo: Anna Rahn, Jay Paul, and Sindi Fulton of POWER 96. Capt. Jim Brickson of the Salvation Army, Cheryl Olson of the Albert Lea Bus Company, and the many kids who volunteered to help unload the bus! -- Submitted
