Erica Sorenson and Nicholas Baird announce their engagement.

Erica is the daughter of Thomas and Julie Sorenson and the granddaughter of Harlan and Ardis Bang, all of Albert Lea.

Nicholas is the son of Bill and Jill Baird and the grandson of Gladys Nelson, all of Sturgis, N.D.

Erica is a 2006 graduate of Albert Lea High School and a 2010 graduate of Augustana College. She is employed with the South Dakota Department of Corrections.

Nicholas is a 2004 graduate of Sturgis Brown High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of South Dakota. He is employed at the Pennington County Jail.

A wedding is planned for September in Spearfish, S.D.
