I am aware the infrastructure in downtown Albert Lea needs to be replaced. In my many conversations with other Albert Lea residents, it seems most people are aware of the need for sewer, sidewalk and street replacement. However, almost everyone thinks the bumpouts, the William Street plaza and Fountain Lake Park improvements are not necessary. All Albert Lea taxpayers will be paying for this improvement, not just the downtown businesses.

Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. is the City Council meeting. Either attend the meeting or please let your council person know how you feel!
