The Freeborn County Humane Society announces “Back in Black Fridays” in September. On Sept. 7, 14, 21 and 28, the adoption fee will be $30 on all black or black and white cats and kittens.

The humane society also will have a director’s special on the following adult cats: Ginger Snap, Mary Ann, April and Mickey. These cats need to be adopted together and they must go to a home with no other animals or small children. These are lovely adult cats who are very shy and timid, and they need a home that is calm, patient and somewhat quiet.

The shelter is open from noon to 5 p.m. on Fridays at 101 James Ave. near Frank Hall Park. Call 377-8501 for more information.

All cats and kittens are spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
