The Ladies Aid of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Albert Lea held their meeting at St. John’s Lutheran Home on Aug. 9.

Hostesses were Jaylene Nesset and Vallene Knutson.

The Rev. Wayne Halvorson conducted the Bible study.

President Maren Ring presided over the business meeting. She thanked those who helped the residents at Good Samaritan Society with bingo on July 18 and also thanked those who donated desserts and served coffee and dessert at St. John’s Lutheran Home on Aug. 5.

A motion was made and carried to donate $200 to the Bethany College Auxiliary and $200 to the Evangelical Lutheran Synod Women’s Missionary Society.

A motion was made and carried to serve a potluck dinner on Mission Festival Sunday, Oct. 7.

The fall bazaar and bake sale was held on Sept. 14. Vegetable beef soup, sloppy joe, dessert and coffee were served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The next Ladies Aid meeting was scheduled for Sept. 6.
