Art on Broadway at the Albert Lea Art Center presents Bernie Anderson as its featured artist for the month of October.

The public is invited to attend a meet the artist reception for Anderson at the art center from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Refreshments will be served.

Following the reception, Anderson’s art will be for sale at Art on Broadway through Oct. 31.

 

About Anderson

Anderson grew up and still resides in New Richland. After receiving a business degree from Gustavus Adolphus College he attended art schools for a year and a half. After marrying his wife, Jill, he came to work for his father, Harry, at the State Bank of New Richland. The Andersons have two sons, Nikolas and Christian. After a 35-year career at the bank, Anderson is now retired. Painting has been a continued interest, if not passion, since art school. Art can now become a full time pursuit for him.

Broadway in Albert Lea. Art center hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Gift shop and gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is free.
