September’s Real Ale Relief from Worth Brewing Company in Northwood will help to pay for a new desk top computer and a color printer for a day habilitation program in Mason City, Iowa.

The program is operated by Comprehensive Systems, Inc., a not-for -profit organization that supports approximately 250 adults and children with special needs in various programs (residential, employment and day services) located in northeastern Iowa. It is well represented in Mason City, Osage, Charles City, New Hampton, Cedar Falls, and Waterloo.

The Real Ale Relief program aids non-profits in north Iowa and southern Minnesota. The fourth Friday of each month all proceeds from one cask of “Real Ale” will be donated to a local non-profit. Recipients are encouraged to tap the keg in the Northwood Tap Room and distribute information about their projects.

Real Ale, or cask conditioned ale, is a traditional English beer with natural carbonation served direct by gravity from the cask at the bar.

Representatives from Comprehensive Systems, Inc., will tap the keg at 6 p.m. Sept. 28.
