Albert Lea Police Chief Dwaine Winkels said Monday that authorities are still waiting for the results of an autopsy on a dead body found in Albert Lea’s Garden Villa subdivision earlier this month.

Winkels said he will not release any additional information until he receives a report from the coroner’s office.

The body was found by a resident on the 100 block of Will-O-Bruce Drive after the resident reportedly smelled an odor and then discovered the body in a nearby wooded area.
