Bruins open season Friday with 5-2 win

Jay Dickman made his Bruins debut count as he helped lead the team to a 5-2 win over Coulee Region (1-3-1 overall) in its home opener in Riverside Arena Friday.

Dickman, a 6-foot, 6-inch, 225 pound forward from Shoreview, scored two goals and had two assists as Austin (3-2 overall) out-shot the Chill 37-17.

Nicholas Lehr had 15 saves in the win for the Bruins.

The home opener drew a crowd of 1,520 for the Bruins.
