Bible says gay marriage is wrong

A large number of letters to the editor, and opinion articles appear daily in newspapers across our state relating to the same-sex marriage amendment to be decided on Nov. 6.
It is vital that we separate hearsay and opinions from that which our creator God has to say concerning homosexual lifestyles. Who is the higher authority, our creator or is it certain “opinion molders.”
Our creator, God, says that for a man to lay with another man is on abomination (Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13). The Apostle Paul in Romans 1:27-28 calls it sin, “Men burning with lust for one another,” and in I Corinthians 6:9-10, Paul declares that homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God. In numerous other Old and New Testament verses he condemns the sinful lifestyles of sodomites.
So what about people born with homosexual orientation? God did not make them that way, contrary to the lies that say he did. God said to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:27-28). Can homosexuals multiply? I’ve yet to see that happen. Throughout Genesis, God calls his creation “good.” How then is it that he changed his mind in Leviticus and later in the Bible? For in Malachi 3:6 God says, “I change not.”
Vote yes on Nov. 6.
