Wedding: Hansen & Reys

Ellen Reys and Rustin Reys of Kansas City, Mo., were married at 5 p.m. July 12, 2012, at Riviera Maya, Mexico, in a double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Paul and Karen Hansen of Glenville. Grandparents are Richard and Arlene Cherney and the late Elmer and Aileen Hansen

Parents of the groom are Robert and Barbara Reys of Columbia, Mo.,

Ellen graduated from Glenville-Emmons High School in 2004, graduated with a degree in chemistry from South Dakota State University in 2009, and is currently in the chemistry education master’s program at South Dakota State University. She is employed at Park Hill High School, Kansas City, as a science teacher.

Rustin is a graduate of Rockbridge High School in Columbia, Mo., in 2002. He graduated with a degree in mathematics from Xavier University in 2006 and graduated with a master’s of education from University of Missouri in 2007. He is employed at Park Hill High School, Kansas City, as a math teacher.

Witnesses of wedding were Kate Brossard of Rochester, sister of the bride, Kendra Mathiason of Alden, friend of the couple, Whitney Reys of Chicago, sister of the groom, and Scott Reys of Cleveland, Ohio, brother of the groom.

A private reception was held following the ceremony. An open house wedding reception was held on July 21 at the home of the bride’s parents.
