Glen Parsons and Joan Muschler are the featured speakers at the Albert Lea Art Center’s monthly Godtland Lecture Series at 7 p.m. Thursday.

They will be basing their talk on a book called “A Christmas Memory” by Truman Capote. The book is based on Capote’s childhood memories. The book shares his story with a favorite cousin, Sook Falk, much his senior, who were best friends as he grew up in Alabama. It is funny and very touching. It is beautifully written and Parsons and Muschler love to share it! They will also be sharing some other Christmas memories by some famous Minnesotans. There will likely be a few songs sung as well. The event is an informal and fun evening.

Albert Lea Art Center’s lecture series showcases local and visiting artists and craftsmen, and include painters, woodworkers, musicians, poets, potters, storytellers, jewelry artists, sculptors and more.
