The 2013 Freeborn County Pork Producers ambassador scholarship applications are due Jan. 20. They need to be sent to the following address:

The scholarship, worth $750, is available to local juniors and seniors whose parents are pork producers in Freeborn County or who are pursuing a career in an agriculture-related field or business that can be related to the pork industry.

There is a new form for 2013, so the group is asking applicants not to use any previous year’s forms. The Freeborn County Ambassador Program is run in conjunction with the Minnesota Pork Producers Association. The recipient of the Freeborn County scholarship will be expected to compete at the state level. For more information call 265-3051.
