Memorial services for Paul James Kaasa, 77, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. The Rev. John Holt will officiate. Interment will be held at Lakewood Cemetery. Paul died Jan. 10, 2013, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Paul James Kaasa was born June 12, 1935, in Albert Lea to Alerd C. and Lillian J. (Neste) Kaasa. He spent many years working with his dad as a painter, and he later did painting on his own. Paul enjoyed riding his bike, walking and reading. He loved to socialize.

Survivors include his sisters, Jeanne (Jim) Rushton of Austin and Patricia (Danny) Tuttle of Twin Lakes; brother-in-law Lowell Kleven of Eden Prairie; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, David and Robert Kaasa, sisters, Marilyn Schultz and Lilly Ann Kleven.
