On Oct. 6, 2010, the Lord blessed the world with a new little angel — Janna Grace Jacobsen. Janna was born in Albert Lea to parents Theodore and Leah Jacobsen. He then took her from this world on Feb. 8, 2013, when she unexpectedly died in her home. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, Albert Lea. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Clayton Balsey will officiate. Online condolences are welcome at www.bayviewfuneral.com.

Janna’s time on earth with us was so short but she brought so much joy and happiness to our lives. Janna was such a happy, busy little girl who loved to laugh and smile and play. Heaven will be a very busy place with her.

Janna loved her Minnie Mouse, her meow meows and her giraffe. Her two favorite blankies were also always in tow. We would have Janna in one arm and her whole entourage in the other. But most of all, Janna loved her “Bruhber” Christian. They played together all day every day. He was her best friend, and they shared a special bond of love. He called her his “little miss” and his “sissy.”

Janna’s No. 1 fan was her daddy. She was such a daddy’s girl; she had him wrapped around her tiny little finger. She loved to play with him and “nuggle” time together as they watched hours of Minnie Mouse Club House. She called him her Da Da Da Da.

Janna was such a beautiful girl and she knew it. She loved to be in dresses and have her nails painted. Pig tails were her favorite hairstyle so she could play with them. She was a real girly girl even at age 2.

Janna is survived by her parents Theodore and Leah Jacobsen of Alden and her big brother Christian (age 4). Paternal grandmother, Donna Jacobsen and maternal grandparents Michael and Maureen Gilbertson. Biological maternal grandmother is Ingrid Pechumer and great-grandmothers are Janet Register and Barb Gilbertson.

Aunt and uncles consist of Mathew (Guyla) Jacobsen, Michelle (Tony) Strangeland, Ben Jacobsen, Lucas (Nicole) Jacobsen, Alexander (Crystal) Jacobsen, Nicole (Josh) Wilke, Carrie Gilbertson (godmother), Trouper Gilbertson, Michelle (Jesse) Scheevel, Holly (Shannon) Pech, Heather Fowls and Izabelle Thostenson.

Cousins are Howard Jacobsen, Brittney Jacobsen, Nikki Wilhite, Brie Stangeland, Siena (Bug) Jacobsen, Zander, Evan and Wyatt Jacobsen, Carl, Calvin, David and Luke Jacobsen, Codie and Gabe Jacobsen, Edward Gilbertson, Damon and Cadence Denny, Michelle and Mylin Eckman, Demetri Rathi, Lily Nelson. Additionally, Janna was survived by many extended family members.

Janna was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather David L. Jacobsen.
