AAUW meeting scheduled for April 1

The American Association of University Women will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the America’s Best Value Inn.
A menu will be escalloped chicken, small salad and a roll for $12 will be served.
The program is “Female Officer Having Served Overseas.” The speaker is Jackie Crotteau. Crotteau was born and raised in St. Francis and joined the Minnesota National Guard in 2007 at the age of 17.
She received training as a human intelligence collector at Fort Huachuca, Ariz., before deploying to Basrah, Iraq, in June of 2009.
She served in the southern provinces of Iraq for nine months before returning home on Feb. 14, 2012. Crotteau started working as a recruiter for the Minnesota National Guard in January of 2011. She currently works in the Mankato area as a recruiter and has a home in North Mankato.
