Marilyn Dahl, 75, Albert Lea

Memorial services for Marilyn “Chris” Dahl of Albert Lea, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel. The Rev. John Holt will officiate. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the East Freeborn Lutheran Cemetery.

Marilyn died Friday, March 8, 2013, at the Thorne Crest Retirement Community. She was 75 years of age.

Marilyn was born Aug. 1, 1937, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Foster and Margaret (Webber) Christenson. She was a graduate of Albert Lea High School and on Aug. 15, 1958, was united in marriage to Robert Dahl in Albert Lea.

Marilyn was a lifelong resident of Freeborn County and past member of the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. She had been employed in retail at Three Sisters for over 8 years and with Kwik Trip for over five years.

In her free time she loved camping, playing softball and volleyball, crafts and crocheting. She was an avid Minnesota sports fan. Her favorite place was in the state park. She loved to watch the eagles and building bird houses.

Marilyn is survived by her children; Robert (Cathy) Dahl of Hartwell, Neb., Dan (Paula) Dahl of Albert Lea, Deb (Jay) Hample of Lynn Haven, Fla., seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers; Duane (Sara) Christenson of Owingsville, Ken., Rodger (Karen) Christenson of Albert Lea, two sisters Nancy (Ted) Boran of Avon, Cheryl Renchin of Albert Lea, special niece Teri Bertrand and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Jerry, Robert, Keith, and Daniel Christenson, mother and father-in-law Guida and Rudolph Dahl.
