Following a supper of pork, baked potatoes, corn, coleslaw, roll, cake and ice cream, Rev. Randy Baldwin, Scarville, gave devotions. A short meeting was held, and trophies were handed out for the top 10 players, top six teams and playoff champions.
The top 10 players were: Steve Olson, Lowell Doppelhammer, Barry Cochlin, Corey Bakken, Scott Stolaas, Al Lindemann, John Hubly Jr., Rick Walther, Josh Sorenson and Chris Soreneson (both absent).
The top six teams were Ascension Lutheran, Trinity Lutheran, Lunder-Round Prairie, Crossroads, Conger-Bear Lake and Mansfield. These teams were in the playoff, and Ascension Lutheran won the league championship with a record of 40-5.
Fifteen of the 16 teams participating were from southern Minnesota. Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Leland, is the sole team in North Iowa.
