A 56-year-old Glenville woman was struck by a car Wednesday afternoon as she crossed Fountain Street near Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.

Bonnie Boots Ringoen, 56, was reportedly treated at the hospital after she was hit by a 2010 Chevy Equinox that was turning west onto Fountain Street from West Avenue, according to Albert Lea police.

Doris Jones Sichko, 84, of Albert Lea, the driver of the Equinox, was cited for failure to yield.

The incident took place at 2:42 p.m.
