The United South Central/Alden-Conger boys’ and girls’ teams each won subsection championships Thursday in New Richland.

John Schuster and Tyler Johannsen led the way for the USC/A-C boys’ team, which will be sending 10 individuals in 16 events to the Section 2A meet.

Schuster won the 300-meter hurdles and Johannsen won the high jump.

The USC/A-C girls will send 12 individuals in 14 events to the Section 2A meet.

Leading the Rebel girls were Hannah Goemann, Emily Mantor, Aubrey Olson and Kendall Ward — all of whom earned first-place finishes at the subsection meet.
