MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves have kicked off their annual pre-draft summit, an event that hosts executives from across the NBA to watch workouts of draft prospects.

The two-day event started on Tuesday night with two workouts of players that are projected to be taken in the second round or have a chance to sign as undrafted free agents next month. Wisconsin forward Jared Berggren, a native of Princeton, Minn., was among the players to workout on Tuesday night. He says it would be a dream come true to be drafted by his home state Timberwolves.

Michigan State’s Derrick Nix, Florida’s Kenny Boynton and USC’s DeWayne Dedmon also worked out.
