DULUTH — The owner of a Duluth head shop said he’s willing to stop selling synthetic drugs, but only if all charges against him are dropped.
After a court hearing Friday, Jim Carlson released a letter by his attorney proposing the offer.
Carlson’s head shop, Last Place on Earth, sells synthetic drugs and is the subject of several complaints by city officials, residents and businesses.
In the June 4 letter, Carlson’s attorney, Randall Tigue, proposed “a global solution” to federal, county and city attorneys.
Tigue wrote that the proposal would resolve issues immediately and dispense with “what promises to be years of protracted and expensive litigation.”
Tigue said responses to the proposal have been mixed.
