I’m responding to Wayne’s letter published on June 3. Wayne is your typical liberal who resorts to name calling when someone believes differently than him. Wayne, if you are going to call me names at least spell my name right, it is Ramsley, not Ramsey.

If you believe that Fox News is biased toward the Republican or conservative view, good. Someone in the media has to hold this administration accountable. CBS, NBC and ABC surely haven’t done this. By the way Wayne, what is on in the evening starting at 7 p.m. is opinion TV not news. CNN and MSNBC all have the same type of programming, but nobody watches it.

Wayne, we have laws that prevent felons from having firearms. It is illegal for a felon to buy or possess a firearm. A smart guy like you should know this, Wayne. We already have background checks, Wayne, when we buy a gun we have to fill out Form 4473, which is a background check. It is called in and verified by the the government. There are people who lie on this form and should be prosecuted. Either the government doesn’t have the stomach or doesn’t have the time to prosecute them.

I know you are for gun control, Wayne, but do you really want to compare our republic to the communist Chinese? Let’s see who has closer views to the communists, the gun control people or people like me. Josef Stalin disarmed the people. It was imperative to controlling them. He confiscated all their guns. Adolf Hitler had the same beliefs. He confiscated all the guns of the people. Mao Zedong did the same thing, confiscated the guns of the people. Disarm the people and you control them. So be careful who you call a communist. Get the picture, Wayne?

And Wayne, background checks are just the beginning. The liberals have stated that, listen to Dianne Feinstein. Wayne, if you truly believe our representatives must vote for what the majority of the people want, then Obamacare should not have passed, because more than 60 percent of the people at the time didn’t want it to pass. I didn’t hear you complain then about special interests buying votes at that time. After that, the Democrats lost the House big time. People do vote out their reps if they believe they don’t support their interests anymore.

If the Democrats regain control of the House in 2014, then we know they support your position on gun control. Wayne, whether you like it or not, our government is a federal republic, and the people have the right to bear arms and freedom of speech. As in your words to me, if you don’t like it move to another country.
