MINNEAPOLIS — A man accused of using a violent tattoo to menace a Minneapolis police officer has pleaded guilty to making terroristic threats.
Twenty-one-year-old Antonio Jenkins Jr. was sentenced Monday to probation.
As Hennepin County Judge Lyonel Norris accepted the plea, he told Jenkins he needed to learn to control his impulses.
Prosecutors offered Jenkins a deal after he had parts of the tattoo obliterated with black ink.
The homemade tattoo showed a person holding a pistol to the mouth of a pig wearing a Minneapolis police uniform. The pig carried the badge number of an officer Jenkins told police he was angry with.
Jenkins was charged last November after a sheriff’s deputy spotted a photo of the man’s tattoo on Facebook.
