HAM LAKE — Another development is expected in the race to succeed Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann.
Anoka County Commissioner Rhonda Sivarajah was ready to announce today if she will join the race. If she does, the Republican field would feature two players from the 2010 governor’s race.
Former state Rep. Tom Emmer, his party’s 2010 nominee for governor, declared a campaign already in the 6th Congressional District. Sivarajah was the running mate to a GOP lawmaker whom Emmer beat in an endorsing contest that year.
On the Democratic side, Circle Pines environmental activist Judy Adams said she’s running.
The party has strong Republican leanings. Bachmann isn’t seeking a fifth term.
