Margaret Krueger, 87, New Richland

Funeral services for Margaret M. Krueger of New Richland, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Richland. The Rev. Scott Williams will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the Friedrich Funeral Home in New Richland and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery.

Margaret died Thursday evening, July 11, 2013, at the New Richland Care Center in New Richland. She was 87 years of age.

Margaret was born Jan. 12, 1926, in Barron, Wis., the daughter of Henry A. and Ruby Grace (Baker) Lueck. She attended public school in Wisconsin. On Dec. 20, 1945, she was united in marriage to Russell Krueger in Black Duck.

Margaret was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Richland. She had been employed by the E.F. Johnson Co., Land-O-Lakes, and the New Richland Care Center and at New Richland American Legion. Margaret was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, enjoyed cross stitch, word search puzzles, playing cards and bingo.

Margaret is survived by her children; Marie Bigardi of Henderson, Nev., Ralph (Irene) Krueger of Waseca, James (Verlaine) Krueger of New Richland, David Krueger of Faribault, Don (Sheila) Krueger of New Richland, Heidi (James) Heidemann of Hartland. Grandchildren include Lee Stark, Jessica Richards, Jeremy Krueger, Joshua Krueger, Heather Lisowski, Brent Krueger, Sarah Theobald, Lisa Krueger, Angie Imdieke, Stacy Groetsch, Briana Underdahl, Clay Krueger, Danielle Krueger, Stephanie Gilbertson, Kristina Flores, Jason Heidemann and Lindsey Heidemann. There are 22 great-grandchildren, one brother Martin Lueck of Billings, Mont., sister-in-law Elaine Tetrick of Colville, Wash., and many other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Russell, son-in-law Barney Bigardi and three brothers Leonard, Raymond and Donald.
