A slideshow program narrated by the late Bidney Bergie titled “The Church History of Albert Lea” will be featured. The open house is free and the public is invited to attend.

The exhibit showcases examples of faith-based art and religious artifacts from local and nearby churches and faith communities. The art objects provided from individuals and churches include pottery, statues and wood carvings, Bibles, chalices and crucifixes, banners, quilts, paintings, stoles and altar clothes, photographs and other works of art. The exhibit will also include a display of old photos of the early Albert Lea churches and a photo quiz of stained glass windows.

The exhibit is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts & Cultural Heritage fund.
