Alan and Laura Weisert, of Albert Lea, announce the engagement of their son Andrew Weisert to Katlyn Kangas, of Rochester.

Grandparents of Weisert are James and Karen Carey, of Adel, Iowa, and Almira Weisert and the late Harold Weisert, of Nora Springs, Iowa.

Kangas is the daughter of Keith and Kay Kangas, of Rochester. Grandparents are Anne Kangas and the late Ron Kangas, of Rochester, and Gene and Frances Eiden, of Rochester.

Weisert is a graduate of Albert Lea High School and a graduate of St. Cloud State University where he majored in business with a minor in finance. He is employed at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services in St. Cloud.

Kangas is a graduate of Rochester Century High School and a graduate of St. Cloud State University with a degree in business management and human resources. She is employed at Process Pro Software in St. Cloud.

A Sept. 7 wedding is planned at Pax Christi Catholic Church in Rochester.
