This was another lakefront property the judges thought would be a fun place to hang out at. The home is owned by Steve and Diane Munson. The judges liked how the steep yard was turned into small gardens and sitting areas to make it a useable space, and they appreciated the flags hanging from the deck and also on the flag pole. The judges also liked the fact there were two docks — one for the big kid toys and one for the actual kids.

: 712 E. Park Avenue This was another lakefront property the judges thought would be a fun place to hang out at. The home is owned by Steve and Diane Munson. : 406 Mariners Lane The home of Joyce and Robert Nixon was noted as one of the best lakefront properties to host a party at. The judges really liked her deck and three tiered design. There are just enough trees for shade, but not too many to block the view of the lake. The river rock landscaping and fountain in the yard are nice touches.

: 204 North Shore Avenue Mike and Vicki Larson have a lakefront property the judges called cozy and simple but elegant. One of the comments written about this home said, “I like this house because it says you don’t have to have a mansion to live on the lake.”

: 217 South Lane The judges felt the home of Brad and Tempest Arends was a top property because of its gardens. The judges thought the landscape design in regards to color, size and texture of the gardens was breathtaking in addition to the home that sits behind them. One specific comment was “the gardens are truly a work of art.”

: 1634 Oakhurst Road Henry and Margaret Savelkoul’s lakefront property wowed the judges initially because of the spiral staircase leading from their deck down to the yard. The judges also liked the step path down to the dock and the rope swings hanging from the trees. The far right side of the home reminded the judges of a castle because of the stone and shape.

: 1708 Roberts Drive One of the comments at this lakefront property owned by Douglas Miller was “truly a castle house if Fountain Lake has one.” The judges liked how it sits close to the water to further the living on a lake feeling. The judges thought this home was intriguing and they liked the sense of privacy the trees give.

: 1508 Bay Oaks Drive Between judges there were mixed opinions on this home owned by Brad and Nancy Wright. They had differing opinions of whether the property was well designed or too busy. They did agree, though, that the gardens were beautiful.

: 1516 Bay Oaks Drive The home of Stan and Skeeter Johnson impressed the judges with its deck space and the landscaping. They said it looked like an inviting place from the lake with the stairs leading up to the home and the two flags near the water’s edge. The judges also liked that there were several trees on the property, but they weren’t overpowering to the point of blocking the view.

: 1724 Bay Oaks Drive The home of Bob and Krista Steffl stood out as a family friendly atmosphere because of the hammock and fenced in playground area. The judges also liked the glass panels on the deck that don’t obstruct the view of the lake. The touch of trees and shrubs are simple, but add dimension to the property.

: 1736 Bay Oaks Drive The judges thought Bobby and Tiffany Syverson had the best beach on Fountain Lake and that their property showed outdoor living at its best with the patio and toys. The large windows on the home allow this property to have a great lake view both from the outdoors and indoors.
