MINNEAPOLIS — A 52-year-old Minneapolis man has been charged with criminal vehicular operation after authorities said he struck two U.S. Army recruiters who were in a crosswalk, then dragged one of them nearly three-quarters of a mile.
Enrico Darius Taylor was charged Thursday in Ramsey District Court. A message left with his attorney was not immediately returned.
Prosecutors said Taylor struck two Army recruiters Tuesday as they were walking toward their Roseville office. One rolled over the hood of the vehicle, but the other was dragged as Taylor kept driving.
Taylor stopped twice and tried to get the screaming man off of his SUV, but he was stuck.
The man eventually freed himself, and suffered many bones and abrasions to his tailbone and lower back, which will require skin grafts.
