A 66-year-old man received minor injuries Wednesday morning after he was struck by a car near the intersection of High Street and Valley Avenue while on his motorized wheelchair.

The crash reportedly took place at 8:12 a.m.

According to police, Thomas John Weigel was traveling southbound on Valley Avenue crossing the street at the intersection with High Street when he was struck by a white 2005 Pontiac Vibe that was traveling eastbound on High Street and turning north onto Valley Avenue. The Vibe was driven by Carrie Marie Clotfelter, 27.

She was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Weigel was not transported.
