Milton Robertson

Milt was born on May 3, 1936, in the Clarks Grove area to Axel and Florence Roberts, Danish immigrants. Later the family of nine moved to Albert Lea. As an adult, Milt lived in Albert Lea and the Conger area. As a young man, he worked for Grieman Construction laying sewer lines for two years. He then worked at Hemenway Block, casting cement block and delivering steps. For the next 37 years he worked at the grain elevator in Conger mixing and delivering feed and receiving and loading grain when he retired in 1998 at 62 years of age. Milt enjoyed his work at the elevator and when the fall harvest came it did not phase his enjoyment of the work and the long work hours.
