HOFFMAN — A nursing home in western Minnesota is closing in December.
The Good Samaritan Society nursing home in Hoffman employs 50 people.
The closing was announced this week. Several factors were cited. Among them is a lack of qualified workers resulting in the nursing home needing to turn away potential residents.
The nursing home also has had difficulty receiving increased reimbursements from the state, and is losing money despite attempts to streamline and contain expenses.
The last day will be Dec. 6.
