On-field achievements recognized

Brooke Hanson, a senior on the Albert Lea girls’ soccer team, earned All-State honorable mention honors Oct. 20 at the Minnesota High School Soccer Coaches Association banquet. Twenty-four All-State players and 23 All-State honorable mention players were chosen out of 2,800 athletes. Hanson has played soccer since age 4 and has been on the varsity squad since seventh grade.  She hopes to continue her soccer career at Wayne State College in Nebraska next year. — Submitted
