Terence (Terry) William Marinan, 64, of Los Angeles, Calif., died suddenly on Sept. 27, 2013. Terry was born in Duluth, grew up in Albert Lea and left to attend the University of Minnesota. While studying theater at the University of Minnesota, Terry was selected to attend the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. He then headed to New York and Los Angeles to pursue his passion for acting. He was a member of the National Shakespeare Company in New York, among his many other stage credits. While in Los Angeles, Terry continued to accumulate stage, movie, and television credits and did voice work. As artistic director of the Dancing Dog Theatre Company, he took on the roles of director, writer, producer and actor, and won Dramalogue awards for his contributions. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, William.
He is survived by his loving mother, Frances Marinan; sister, Linda Marinan; brother, Kevin Marinan (Laura); sister, Carolyn Marinan Dutton (Joe); and his beloved, Theresa (Tess) Marinan.
In addition, he leaves behind many friends — and the desert that he loved so much. He will be missed.
