Tom loved his high school sweetheart, Judy, who he married in 1967 at First Lutheran Church. Knowing that Huntington’s disease may cut his life short, they made the most of the years they had together. He loved traveling and diving. Tom also enjoyed golf and bowling with Sertoma and a couple’s league while living in Albert Lea.

Upon retiring, they followed their dream of building a home on the ocean in southern Mexico (Xcalak) where they could enjoy snorkeling, diving and the tropical life with the occasional margarita. When he talked of his hideaway, Tom was eager to share it and always offered a “come on down.”

Survivors include his wife Judy; sister Mary (Jim) Meyer; brother David Hagmann; nieces and nephews Sara Hagmann, Denise (Orrin) Burbank, Jennifer (Blaine) Rellarin and Jeff (Claudia)Meyer; mother-in-law Vivian Knutson; sister-in-law Darla Knutson and brothers-in-law Bob, Bill and Steve Knutson.
