Suspicious person reported

Albert Lea police received a report at 3:29 a.m. Monday that a person living at 1904 State St. woke up to find that the garage door was opening and a man was in the car in the garage. The man left in a blue or green van. Nothing was taken.

 

1 injured in rollover

One person reportedly was injured in a vehicle rollover at 2:16 p.m. Sunday at 18474 650th Ave., Alden, according to the Sheriff’s Office. No other information was available as of press time.

 

2 arrested for assault

Albert Lea police arrested Cesar S. Gomez, 20, for domestic assault by strangulation at 6:34 p.m. Friday, according to reports.

Albert Lea police arrested Maria Sanchez Bernal, 58, for fifth-degree assault at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at 223 E. College St.

 

Gas drive-offs reported

A gas drive-off was reported at Hy-Vee Gas, 2717 Bridge Ave. at 7:25 a.m. Saturday. The car, identified as a silver Volkswagen with two occupants, left eastbound on Interstate 90. About $44 in gasoline was taken.

A gas drive-off was reported at 1311 W. Front St. at 8:57 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle was described as a 1998 silver Honda with a damaged front-left fender. About $25 in gasoline was taken.

 

Fire reportedly damages van

A van was reported on fire at Hy-Vee Gas, 2717 Bridge Ave. at 5:56 p.m. Saturday.

 

Gas can stolen

A gas can was reported stolen from 640 E. 11th St. at 3:38 p.m. Monday, according to police.
