Editorial: Albert Lea firefighters were quite brave

There is a fire. There is a propane tank.
Not a little tank for a grill. A big one, like for a house. Someone has to put the fire out, and that job falls to the firefighters.
We were proud of how brave the Albert Lea firefighters were this morning when approaching a structure fire behind Subway on East Main Street. They don’t have a choice to wait, because the longer they waited, the more likely that propane tank could have exploded. So they worked feverishly and with alacrity to douse the flames and contain the fire.
And who knows what was in the building? Maybe a car with a gas tank that could explode?
Kudos to our firefighters. Bravery comes with the job. Anyone who witnessed their work this morning in freezing temperatures saw it in action.
