Karli Johnson stands with Nordy, the mascot of the Minnesota Wild, Wednesday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul after she was chosen to be the mini mascot by winning a contest at Dairy Queen. Johnson is from St. Michael. She is the granddaughter of Rick and Karen Boyer of Albert Lea and the great-granddaughter of Ed and Alberta Brandt of Albert Lea. The game was one day after Johnson’s sixth birthday, and the Wild delivered her a 2-1 shootout win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. — Submitted
