Meeting planned about MNsure

The public is invited to attend, “MNsure and Beyond: The Minnesota Health Plan,” from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the Ostrander Auditorium in the Centennial Student Union at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Paul Sobocinski and Megan Buckingham, from the Land Stewardship Project, will present an overview of MNsure, Minnesota’s new healthcare exchange.
Chuck Sawyer, a Health Care for All Minnesota board member, will speak about the legislation for the next steps for health care reform and how the Minnesota health plan would cover everyone in Minnesota and cost less. A discussion will be held about how to pass this legislation in Minnesota.
Breakout sessions will focus on what the Minnesota health plan would mean for small business owners, people in the medical community and students. Stan Groff will speak about how some counties have saved money and have better patient outcomes. A session will be held on how to do grassroots messaging through signage.
